The title of this article is Teacher Defends Insulting Blog Posts About Her Students: 'I Hear the Trash Company is Hiring. Andrea Canning and Olivia Katrandjian are the authors. This article is about Natalie Munroe. Natalie is a teacher and she created a blog saying nasty things about her students. She posted comments such as “A complete and utter jerk in all ways” and “I hear the trash company is hiring.”
I think what Natalie did was very wrong. Teachers are supposed to be positive influences for their students. Going behind a student’s back and saying rude things about them could cause many issues. I know someone who could have had a great opportunity to move up on a sports team. The person got mad because someone else got the opportunity before they did. She posted some mean comments online, and it somehow got back to the coach. The person no longer had the opportunity.
This information will benefit me a lot in the future. If I had a bad day at work, I’ll remember this topic and not say anything bad on the internet knowing my boss could see it. I will think twice before I post anything on the internet to make sure it is appropriate. This relates to chapter 6 because this chapter focuses on applying for jobs. I want to have a good impression, but having inappropriate posts on social networks will not help. Once it is on the internet, it’s there, so I have to be careful.
